Job summary

Citizens Bank seeks a Data, AI and Emerging Technology Risk Senior Analyst to strengthen first-line technology risk oversight for data platforms, AI/ML enablement, and hybrid-cloud environments. You will collaborate with engineering, data, risk, and audit teams to document risks, perform RCAs, manage issues, and support control uplift through standardized processes and risk reporting.

The role requires 5–7 years in tech risk and strong communication across technical and non-technical

Qualifications

5–7 years of progressive experience in technology risk management, information security, data management, internal audit, governance, or related oversight roles.
Practical understanding of data engineering, data transformation, ETL/ELT, API, BI/reporting, cloud, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and control environments.
Familiarity with AI/ML, data platform enablement concepts, model lifecycle controls, data governance, security, observability, and operational readiness.
Experience with risk assessments, control adequacy reviews, issue management, and audit/regulatory response activities.
Proficiency with GRC, ITSM, collaboration, and monitoring tools such as Archer, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Datadog, Nexus, Sonatype IQ, Excel, and Tableau.
Strong analytical and communication skills to translate technical data into risk statements and remediation actions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Act as a first-line technology risk partner for customized data platforms and data engineering enablement areas.
Support oversight of enterprise AI/ML enablement and tooling.
Review intake information for AI use cases and coordinate with stakeholders for follow-up.
Perform stability and security discovery through periodic review of applications, logging, monitoring, and authentication patterns.
Lead or support process mapping, RCSA activities, control uplift, and testing across data platforms and AI/ML domains.
Document and steward technology risk issues through the lifecycle including evidence review and closure.
Analyze risk data from tools like GRC Archer, ServiceNow, Splunk, Datadog, Qualys, Nexus, Jira, etc., for trends and insights.
Collaborate with risk, engineering, AI/ML teams, cybersecurity, and audit stakeholders to assess control design and effectiveness.
Support third-party risk coordination, regulatory requests, and remediation evidence collection.
Develop data-driven risk reports, issue summaries, and stakeholder updates within deadlines.
Utilize Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Tableau to manage workloads and deliverables.
Stay current on data engineering, cloud, DevSecOps, AI/ML, model risk, data governance, and regulatory trends.
