Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; industry experience preferred.
• Experience in risk management, first line of risk, governance, or risk oversight.
• Working knowledge of Technology/AI Risk Governance.
• Experience in highly regulated banking/financial services.
• Knowledge of technology risk, cybersecurity risk, operational resilience, and control design principles.
• Experience using technology to implement automated business solutions.
• Experience evaluating control design and effectiveness, including manual vs automated controls.
• Experience supporting/regulatory exams, internal audits, or control reviews.
• Advanced Excel, Python, and SQL; Salesforce and PowerPoint preferred.
• Strong project management experience managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
• Strong data analysis, insightful narratives, and reporting skills.
• Experience with governance, workflow, or GRC platforms.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line oversight of technology, cybersecurity, digital platform, and AI risks for the Commercial Bank.
• Lead and facilitate risk assessments for new tech initiatives and AI use cases.
• Evaluate control effectiveness and identify automation opportunities across processes.
• Monitor incidents, outages, model breakdowns, and operational disruptions; support remediation.
• Partner with business, technology, information security, and risk teams to enhance governance and resilience.
• Assess and challenge AI use cases for data protection, model accuracy, fairness, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop governance processes, risk assessments, dashboards, reports, and executive materials.
• Support tech change management by addressing risks and regulatory requirements during implementations.
• Serve as liaison for regulatory exams, audits, issue management, and reviews related to tech, AI, and risk.
• Identify emerging tech/AI risks and drive continuous improvement of risk governance.
