Job summary

Citizens seeks a Senior Data, AI and Emerging Technology Risk Principal Analyst to drive strategic identification, assessment, and mitigation of technology risks across platforms and services. You will shape risk practices and provide expert input to executive leadership.

You’ll partner with technology, engineering, cybersecurity, and compliance teams, lead major risk assessments, and deliver clear risk reporting to governance forums while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of IT risk management, information security, or internal audit experience.
• Deep expertise in CRI Profile, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, COBIT, ITIL.
• Proven ability to lead risk assessments, control testing, and regulatory response activities.
• Advanced proficiency with GRC platforms and security monitoring tools; data analytics experience.
• Strong executive communication, presenting risk findings to senior leadership.
• Independent, multi-stakeholder project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive identification, assessment, and monitoring of technology and cybersecurity risks across systems, applications, infrastructure and services.
• Execute and oversee complex Risk and Control Self Assessments, risk assessments, and control evaluations with remediation recommendations.
• Serve as SME for technology risk during audits, regulatory examinations, and inquiries; lead issue analysis and corrective action.
• Analyze risk data from enterprise platforms to identify trends, emerging risks, and control gaps for leadership.
• Partner with senior technology, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, and business leaders to evaluate risk of new initiatives.
• Oversee third‑party technology risk activities within assigned domains.
• Develop and deliver executive risk reporting and presentations for governance forums.
• Contribute to risk framework improvements, governance processes, and risk maturity.
• Mentor analysts to foster risk judgment and accountability.
• Stay ahead of regulatory requirements and industry trends.
