Job summary

Sun Chemical is seeking a Regional Inplant Support Representative (RISR) to support operations in the Cincinnati area. You will perform inplant duties, color matching, inventory and formula management, and provide press-side technical assistance.

You will ensure safety practices, participate in audits, and coordinate with CTS Technicians and the Regional Inplant Operations Manager on projects and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Inplant work experience required.
• Good color vision and ability to match colors in various ink systems.
• Ability to work in various manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Inplant SOPs and standard safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides manufacturing and operational support to Sun Chemical implants in the Cincinnati area. Performs all Inplant duties, including batch production, color matching, inventory management, formula management, site specific reporting, and Sun Chemical reporting.
• Learns, and complies with all safety requirements, including the use of PPE, safe material handling, SDS management, housekeeping, and general safety procedures.
• Implements Sun Chemical Inplant procedures, and the best practices as directed by Inplant Manager, Regional Inplant Operations Manager, or Senior CTS Technicians.
• Performs Inplants assessments (audit) at Inplants in this region as directed by the Regional Inplant Operations Manager.
• Participates in transitional activities related to new business opportunities, or capital projects within the region at the direction of senior CTS Technicians, and the Regional Inplant Operations Manager.

Job Title: Regional Inplant Support Representative (RISR)

OVERVIEW:

Under supervision from the Regional Inplant Manager (RIPO) the Regional Inplant Support Rep. (RISR) is responsible for performing Inplant operations including color matching, blending, and producing. Responsibilities also include quality control of inks made and used at the customer location that include Sheetfed, Paste, Water based, Solvent Flexographic ink etc. The RISR also provides press side technical assistance, order materials and manage inventory. Acts as liaison between the customer and Sun Chemical.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provides manufacturing and operational support to Sun Chemical implants in the Cincinnati area. Performs all Inplant duties, including batch production, color matching, inventory management, formula management, site specific reporting, and Sun Chemical reporting.
• Learns, and complies with all safety requirements, including the use of PPE, safe material handling, SDS management, housekeeping, and general safety procedures.
• Implements Sun Chemical Inplant procedures, and the best practices as directed by Inplant Manager, Regional Inplant Operations Manager, or Senior CTS Technicians.
• Performs Inplants assessments (audit) at Inplants in this region as directed by the Regional Inplant Operations Manager.
• Participates in transitional activities related to new business opportunities, or capital projects within the region at the direction of senior CTS Technicians, and the Regional Inplant Operations Manager. This may include shift work, Inplant management, equipment installation/de-commissioning, and implementation of SOP’s.
• Completes monthly training activities as assigned. This includes web-based training (e-path learning tool) modules and field training activities with CTS Technicians.
• Supports CTS team as directed by CTS technicians and Regional Inplant Operations Manager. This may include trial support, complaint investigation, and identifying customer needs and concerns.
• Contributes technical information, reviews overall progress through daily follow-up, and provides technical assistance (intelligence) to Inplant management.
• Logs all field activity in the Sun Chemical CRM tool (salesforce.com). Completes technical call reports and trial reports as needed, including both internal and external documentation.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Inplant work experience required.
• Must have good color vision and be able to match colors in various ink systems.
• Must have good customer presence and ability to work in various manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Inplant SOPs; and familiar with standard manufacturing safety procedures.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Broad experience with ink systems, and printing technologies
• Process improvement training preferred (six sigma, 5S, Lean, Kepner Tregoe, QA, etc.)

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

Non-exempt. Day shift, work schedule will vary based on business need.

Up to 70% and overnight
