UNC Health Nash is seeking a dedicated procurement professional to support the NGH Purchasing team in Nash County. You will place orders for stock and non-stock items, prepare purchase documentation, and coordinate with vendors and hospital management to streamline the purchasing process.

The role requires at least 1 year of operations procurement experience in a health system, with proficiency in word processing and basic accounting procedures.

Qualificações

• High school graduate or GED.
• 1 year of experience in Operations – Procurement or related.
• Purchasing experience in a health system preferred.
• Knowledge of medical and surgical products and basic accounting procedures.
• Proficient with word processing software and basic computer applications.
• Proficient with calculator.

• Places orders for stock and non-stock items, and maintains associated documentation.
• Coordinates with vendors, sales reps and hospital management to facilitate purchasing.
• Performs clerical and operational support for the department.

• Performs other duties as needed.

Summary

Places orders for stock and non-stock hospital supplies, and prepares associated purchase orders.

Responsibilities

1. Places orders for new stock and non-stock items, and performs associated documentation and file maintenance.
2. Communicates and coordinates with vendors, sales representatives and hospital management personnel to facilitate the purchasing process.
3. Performs a variety of secretarial, clerical and operational support functions for the department.
4. Acquires age‑specific knowledge necessary to provide appropriate level of service and communications.
5. Participates in maintaining designated equipment and work areas.
6. Performs other duties as needed.
7. Takes an active role in self development.

Professional Experience Requirements

• 1 year of experience in Operations – Procurement – Operations-Procurement General or related position.
• Purchasing experience in a health system. Above plus proficient in the use of word processing software. Knowledge of purchasing procedures, medical and surgical products and basic accounting procedures preferred.
• Proficient in the use of keyboard and basis computer applications.
• Proficient in use of calculator.
