This position’s primary function is purchasing of supplies, service contracts and equipment for the organization. This position will perform functions that will result in strong contract compliance and validation of contractual pricing. This position will hold specific responsibilities in the computerized supply chain management systems to allow all Supply Chain Management activities in the hospital organization to function in an efficient manner.
Minimum Required: Associates Degree. Proficient in the use of keyboard, word processing software, spreadsheets, and basic operating system applications. Basic understanding of database software applications. T wo yearsclerical or administrative experience. Ability to utilize keyboard with a high degree of speed and accuracy. Relevant and sufficient experience to acquire the required knowledge and competencies. Applicant should be able to communicate with internal and external business contacts to successfully meet the procurement needs of the organization.
Preferred:Formal training and experience in relevant computer applications, and similar experience in a healthcare materials management position.
Experience as a surgical supplies/equipment buyer in a healthcare setting.
