Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking a Technology Project Specialist to coordinate with IT Project and Portfolio Managers to prepare action plans, timelines, budgets, and resources for various initiatives at Washington Dulles International Airport.

The role sits within the Office of Technology and involves liaison with business stakeholders, schedule management, risk assessment, and maintaining project documentation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience.
• Two years of experience as a project coordinator or similar role.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and procedures from conception to delivery.
• Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and action plans.
• Knowledge of IT risk management and quality assurance controls.
• Skill in using Microsoft Project and other project management software tools.
• Ability to analyze data and make actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with IT Project and Portfolio Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans with resources, timeframes and budgets.
• Organize projects into tasks and establish timeframes for completion.
• Liaise with business partners to identify project requirements, scope and objectives.
• Assign tasks to internal teams and manage schedules.
• Assist in preparing project budgets and market research.
• Monitor project progress and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Ensure project standards and quality through QA testing.
• Serve as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) for contracts.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
