Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Austin, Texas seeks an exceptional Technical Program Manager to own the execution of major capital projects: test stands, launch sites, and test fixtures that enable rockets to reach orbit. You will lead engineers from concept to commissioning, driving bold hardware solutions on greenfield and brownfield sites.

You’ll manage multi‑million dollar programs, on‑site at critical milestones, balancing scope, schedule, and cost while ensuring safety and compliance with aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or related technical field.
• 3–5 years managing complex technical projects; 10+ years preferred for advancement.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and perform technical trade-offs.
• Proficient with scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) and cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution of major capital projects ($1M–$20M+).
• Lead interdisciplinary engineering teams through analysis and trade studies.
• Review deliverables, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Maintain project plans, scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Drive risk management, change control, and on-time delivery.
