Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Texas is seeking a Technical Project Manager in Electrical Engineering to own the planning, scheduling, and execution rhythm for avionics development across all product lines. You will report to the Director of Electrical Engineering and serve as the programmatic arm of the department, covering Hardware, Firmware, Harnessing, Launch Vehicle Systems, and Spacecraft Systems.

This is a hands‑on role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 5+ years in technical project management for complex engineering systems.
• Proven ability to build and maintain integrated schedules for hardware/embedded development.
• Experience in aerospace/space systems, avionics, electrical systems, or spacecraft operations.
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in schedules, risks, and review materials.
• Basic Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, or reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrated schedules for avionics development across vehicle programs and IRAD.
• Manage schedules, backlogs, and risks for hardware, firmware, harnessing, launch vehicle systems, and spacecraft systems.
• Support staffing and resource planning by maintaining capacity vs. program demand.
• Track progress on modular architecture, reuse commitments, and flight readiness milestones.
• Maintain schedules for SRR, PDR, CDR, tests, and program gates.
• Interface with Program Management to surface issues and drive resolution.
• Support budget tracking and cost reduction projects with data analysis.
• Produce design reviews and program gate documentation with inputs from engineers.
