Job summary

YHB Technology & Process Improvement Intern | Summer 2027 at YHB seeks a curious student to join the internal IT team. You’ll work on projects at the intersection of technology, data, business processes, and people, not just on technical support.

You’ll analyze information, improve workflows, support business systems and technology projects, develop resources for employees, and translate data into practical recommendations while collaborating with IT, Finance, and other areas of the firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in information technology, MIS, data or related fields.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; interest in data, reporting, technology or process improvement.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work accurately with data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Curious about how technology and data improve business processes.
• Able to handle confidential information responsibly and work independently or with others.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, scripting or IT admin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Data, Reporting & Analysis: clean, organize, validate, and analyze information.
• Create reports, dashboards, metrics, and tools to make data understandable.
• Translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Process & Business Systems Improvement: review processes and workflows.
• Identify manual or inefficient steps; explore automation.
• Assist with system implementations, enhancements, testing, and data cleanup.
• Research solutions and evaluate technology to improve business processes.
• Project, Change & Communication Support: support rollouts, migrations, and cross-functional projects.
• Coordinate project information, testing, documentation, and follow-up.
• Develop user guides, training materials, and resources for adoption.
• Turn complex information into clear communications for different audiences.
• Technology Operations: cleanup and maintenance of tech records, configure laptops, inventories, and data quality checks.
• Assist with inventories, deployments, and ensuring data accuracy.
