Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead planning, execution and delivery of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFE&C) platform development. You will bridge engineering, product, operations, certification and vendors to drive scalable, secure technology solutions and aligned program milestones.

Role requires managing dependencies, risks, budgets, and communications while adhering to Delta methodologies and best practices. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of project and program management with emphasis on software development
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in technology/program management, MBA with 3+ years, OR 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives within a matrixed org
  • Experience as a Technical/Program/Project Manager or similar leadership role
  • Ability to develop and manage program plans, priorities, risks, and schedules
  • Proven enterprise‑level implementation, integration, or deployment experience
  • Experience with Agile and traditional delivery methods
  • Effective communication with technical teams, stakeholders, and executives
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Familiarity with Jira/Azure DevOps/Confluence/Smartsheet/MS Project or similar
  • Strong PowerPoint and written communication skills
  • Commitment to safety, security, and data protection
  • Diversity of thought and inclusive collaboration
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old; eligible to work in the United States
  • Willing to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technical programs spanning software, hardware integration, and deployment
  • Partner with engineering, product, operations, certification, and vendors to meet objectives
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones
  • Support Agile software development with technical leaders, developers, and testers
  • Coordinate activities across software, hardware, connectivity, and aircraft teams
  • Support certification, testing, validation, and deployment activities
  • Identify, manage, and communicate risks, issues, dependencies and mitigations
  • Provide status reports to stakeholders and leadership on progress and decisions
  • Facilitate governance meetings and executive communications
  • Manage scope changes to align with business priorities
  • Create and maintain PM deliverables: plans, budgets, risk registers, status reports
  • Ensure adherence to Delta project methodologies and standards
  • Coordinate with tech, business, operations, and vendor teams for execution
  • Support deployment planning and operational readiness
  • Identify opportunities to improve program execution and collaboration
