Job summary

Alvarez and Marsal seeks an Associate in the Technology Industry Group - Private Equity to support performance improvement, synergy reviews, and Day 1 readiness across deals. You will own financial models, lead analyses, and design cost-optimization initiatives for tech-oriented portfolios.

The role requires 2–4+ years in consulting with software/tech clients, strong Excel/PowerPoint, and readiness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic performance.
2-4+ years of professional consulting experience with software and technology-oriented clients.
Experience leading work streams in a business transformation.
Functional involvement in Finance, Accounting, HR, and Organizational Design.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Preparation of major client deliverables, including full ownership of the financial model and presentation.
Leading detailed analyses to support project objectives and client needs.
Design and implement tailored cost optimization initiatives for each business.
Lead workstreams such as synergy assessment, cost savings, org design, and financial baseline.
Assist in due diligence and performance improvement to identify risks and analyses.
Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables aligned with client objectives.
Support business development with proposals and client presentations.
Willing to travel up to 25%.
