Job summary

GE Vernova Advanced Research seeks a Technology Manager for the Mechanical Structures & Durability lab to lead a world-class team focused on aerodynamic, thermal, and fluid-dynamic solutions for GE Vernova products. You will develop roadmaps aligned with Power, Wind, and Electrification, collaborating with manufacturing, services, engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience — OR — Master's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience leading technical programs or R&D efforts in structural mechanics, durability, fatigue analysis, or related engineering discipline.
• Proven direct management experience leading teams of 3+ engineers or scientists, with ability to develop talent and build high-performing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex structural challenges into a multi-generational technology roadmap across GE Vernova Power, Wind, and Electrification.
• Lead early-stage development from concept to field-deployed structural solutions.
• Align structural research strategy with global business needs and mentor a team of researchers.
