Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an Advanced Programs Manager to lead and grow our DOD and federal energy portfolio. You will oversee lifecycle management of high-stakes programs, coordinate with multiple GE Vernova units, and sustain strong government collaborations while maintaining security clearances.

You will drive strategy, manage facilities, and guide teams from concept to product transition, shaping power systems and integrated solutions for federal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of professional experience in technical program management, systems engineering, advanced technology development, or defense-related engineering environments.
• 5+ years of experience leading complex, multidisciplinary technical programs from concept through execution or product transition.
• 5+ years of experience working with U.S. government customers, such as DOD, DOE, DARPA, ARPA-E, service labs, or other federal agencies.
• 3+ years of experience in business development, capture management, or shaping government-funded R&D opportunities.
• 5+ years of experience managing programs involving power systems, power generation, power electronics, energy storage, materials for power systems, cyber security or integrated energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and transition of technologies from concept to products and/or services for GE internal and external clients.
• Develop the strategy for expanding the DOD portfolio and identifying new market opportunities in advanced power systems.
• Oversee the lifecycle of advanced energy programs, including management of research facilities and multidisciplinary projects.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of government and defense-related opportunities with high-impact power work.
• Interface for classified government collaborations (e.g., Rome Labs) ensuring security compliance.
• Coordinate across GE Vernova units to integrate advanced power technologies into long-term roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership in Power Systems and Integrated Systems for innovative solutions.
• Drive technical strategy for data center integrated power systems and product roadmaps.
• Lead early-stage technology development and mature these technologies into products.
• Coordinate disruptive technologies and market trends with a focus on power systems challenges.
• Shape government funding pipeline for new power systems and systems integration technologies.
