San Francisco-based Technology & Life Sciences Associate position with a premier global law firm, seeking 3+ years of experience in sophisticated transactional work across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.

The role focuses on strategic collaborations, licensing, and IP-rich deals, advising life sciences clients on domestic and cross-border transactions with multidisciplinary teamwork across corporate, IP, tax, and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership or eligibility for prompt admission.
• 3+ years of experience in a large law firm environment.
• Experience with life sciences partnering transactions, licensing, collaboration agreements, and IP transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and project-management skills.
• Excellent analytical and client-service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise life sciences and technology companies on a broad range of strategic transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate: Collaboration agreements, Licensing agreements, Co-development agreements, Commercialization agreements, Research agreements, Clinical trial agreements, Manufacturing and supply agreements, Master services agreements.
• Support domestic and cross-border partnering transactions within the life sciences sector.
• Provide IP transaction support for M&A, capital markets, royalty monetization, and strategic investments.
• Conduct due diligence and assist with transaction structuring.
• Collaborate with corporate, IP, tax, and regulatory teams on multidisciplinary matters.
• Advise clients on commercialization, development, and growth initiatives.
