Job summary

BMO in San Francisco is seeking an experienced credit professional to underwrite and manage a technology-sector loan portfolio. You will assess credit information, negotiate structures, and ensure risk-aligned decisions while delivering exceptional client service.

The role requires strong leadership, advanced financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Relationship Managers and partners across the bank.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments in a corporate or banking environment.
• Experience with leveraged lending and lending to technology companies.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred.
• Credit Qualifications and associated standards per portfolio requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes credit information to support lending decisions and processes for Commercial loans and credit solutions.
• Underwrites and manages a diversified portfolio of technology-sector clients.
• Negotiates loan structures and terms and conditions.
• Signs off on new, renewal and extension loans within delegated authority.
• Develops comprehensive credit structures to meet transactional needs.
• Monitors covenant compliance and portfolio performance.
• Develops portfolio insights through financial analysis and risk reporting.
• Acts as trusted advisor on technology-sector credit matters.
• Builds and maintains client relationships to ensure long-term financial performance.
