Job summary

Nationwide Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to mentor teams and deliver secure, high-quality technology solutions supporting a Fortune 100 company. The role focuses on leading projects, advising on tech direction, and delivering new or enhanced software applications.

You will work in a collaborative, Agile environment within Nationwide Financial Technology Annuity, with a hybrid schedule entering the Columbus, Ohio office on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in computer science, MIS, mathematics or related field strongly preferred.
• Six years of programming and systems analysis experience.
• Three years of project management experience preferred.
• Hands-on technical leadership with ability to guide design and direction.

Responsibilities

• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices across delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards.
• Provide strategic advice on using technology to achieve goals.
• Drive cross-collaboration across multiple teams to execute projects.
• Analyze, design, implement, test, debug, document and deploy software per standards.
• Promote DevSecOps practices and tooling across the team.
• Ensure ongoing learning and improvement through training and innovation.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
