Nava is a mission-driven consultancy offering open-source solutions to modernize government services. As Tech Lead, you will shape technical strategy, guide architecture, and coordinate across delivery teams with product and government stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and ensure long-term maintainability while balancing delivery demands.

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
Architect and deliver scalable, secure distributed systems.
Proficient in Python, React, Node.js and API development.
DevOps and cloud (AWS) expertise with IaC.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic technical leadership and coaching to the engineering team.
Define the technical vision and architectural roadmap with clients and delivery teams.
Collaborate with government stakeholders to align technical initiatives.
Bridge communication between developers, executives and non-technical staff.
Make architectural decisions balancing long-term goals with delivery needs.
Oversee delivery, manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
Enforce engineering best practices in code quality, testing, security and docs.
Guide planning, estimation, prioritization with cross-functional teams.
