Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to provide technical leadership across multiple Core Services teams. You will define architecture, engineering standards, and drive a scalable platform across the domain.

The role requires deep JVM expertise, Java and Scala proficiency, and hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices in production. You will mentor engineers, influence across teams, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to align technical direction with business

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Demonstrated technical leadership across multiple teams
• Deep expertise in JVM ecosystem and Java
• Experience with Scala or ability to learn quickly
• Design, build, and operate microservices at scale
• Proficient with Spring Framework / Spring Boot and REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills
• Ability to align engineers, tech leaders, and business stakeholders around a shared technical vision

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and engineering standards across multiple teams
• Design, build, and evolve scalable microservices and distributed systems
• Lead cross-team architectural initiatives and ensure platform consistency
• Guide teams on reliability, observability, and production readiness
• Partner with managers and senior stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders across the organization
• Act as escalation point for complex technical challenges spanning teams
