Job summary

Northview Public Schools Northview Next Career Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a part-time Instructional Support Paraprofessional to work 15 hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting in technical labs (e.g., 3D printing), coordinating off-site visits, and guiding students toward postsecondary pathways such as GRCC's MTEC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced coursework or Paraprofessional certification preferred.
• Comfort with basic digital manufacturing tools and learning new technology.
• Familiarity with workforce development concepts or vocational training options.
• Ability to mentor students and adapt to project-based learning.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for coordinating off-site visits and lab operations.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; comfortable operating school vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and support student safety across the campus.
• Assist in technical labs with hands-on projects and equipment operation.
• Guide students through career exploration and JMG curriculum.
• Facilitate work-based learning activities and job site visits.
• Collaborate with teachers to support standards-based learning and track progress.
