Grandville Public Schools is seeking a Building Paraprofessional at Oakestown Intermediate in Grandville, Michigan. This 29 hours/week position runs during the 2026-2027 school year, with a start date of immediately.

The paraprofessional will assist the teacher and support students in and out of the classroom. Qualifications include an Associate degree or 60 college hours (or MTTC basic skills), plus strong reading, math, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean, organize and straighten instructional and student materials.
• Assist lead teacher with instruction and supervision of student activities in the classroom and outside of the classroom.
• Model positive behavior.
• Read tests and assignments to students and reread materials as needed for understanding.
• Assist students with note taking.
• Plan PBIS activities to meet intervention needs for various grades.
• Assess student progress and communicate to teachers.
• Use kinesthetic, visual and auditory methods to engage learners.
• Transfer materials between locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
