Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking an Educational Aide for the CIS Lab. This part-time, non-benefited role reports to the Dean in the Computer Science Division. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and offers opportunities for training and skills development.

Applicant may troubleshoot virtual machines, operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix), hardware, software, and Office applications. Lifting up to 15–30 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some technical college courses preferred (CIST 1122, CIST 1401, CIST 2411).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides oral and written reports as required.
• Performs basic administrative tasks to support the computer lab.
• Assists students, offers encouragement and support.
• Maintains a warm attitude to encourage learning.
• Operates office equipment and performs routine maintenance.
• Types correspondence and documents per guidelines.
• Maintains program records and sign-in logs.
