Job summary

Cumberland County Schools is seeking a Technology Intern (CTE) in Fayetteville, NC, to gain hands-on work-based learning hours through the academy internship program.

The role supports daily technology upgrades and repairs across labs and devices, including Chromebooks, Windows devices, and network gear. Requires current high school senior enrolled in the Academy of Information Technology and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current high school senior enrolled in the Academy of Information Technology.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks associated with technology upgrades and replacements.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist technology technicians with daily activities to complete projects.
• Replace, upgrade, and troubleshoot computer labs.
• Replace, upgrade, and troubleshoot Chromebooks.
• Replace, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows laptops and desktops.
• Replace, upgrade, and troubleshoot network equipment including switches, wireless access points, wiring racks, and wiring.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for technology devices.
• Replace, troubleshoot, and maintain VOIP telephones and paging systems.
• Replace, troubleshoot, and repair Cleartouch boards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
