Job summary
The Richmond Group USA, on behalf of a leading Manufacturing & Industrial client, seeks a Corporate Technical Director to lead technology, innovation, and product development across a growing business segment. You will shape technical strategy and commercialization, partnering with the VP/GM and other leaders.
Ideal candidates bring a strong foundation in polymers, elastomers, rubber technologies, or advanced materials, plus the leadership to build and develop an emerging technical organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive Technical, R&D, Product Development, or Innovation leadership experience.
- Experience with Polymers, Elastomers, Rubber Technologies, Specialty Materials, or related engineered materials.
- Experience taking products from concept through commercialization and production scale-up.
- Multi-site leadership exposure strongly preferred.
- Role is based in South Carolina / Charleston area (Relocation Assistance is available).
Responsibilities
- Lead Technology, Innovation, and Product Development strategy and execution.
- Build and develop a high-performing technical organization across chemists, engineers, and other scientists.
- Partner with Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations to scale lab innovations to production.
