Job summary

Aurora University is seeking a Tech Hub Support Specialist to serve as the primary technical resource for the Tech Hub, providing hands-on support, equipment readiness, and troubleshooting for media production tools, AV systems, and computing equipment.

You'll join the ITS Technical Support team, delivering Windows and macOS assistance, training users, and creating documentation while supporting AU desktops and classroom technology with a focus on accessibility and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Network+, A+ or MCP preferred.
• Experience in IT support, AV/media production, or related role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the Tech Hub, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment.
• Ensure equipment readiness through setup, testing, maintenance, and preventive care of AV and computing devices.
• Provide hands-on technical assistance and training to Tech Hub users on software, equipment, and workflows.
• Train and guide ITS student workers on Tech Hub equipment and support tasks, developing training materials.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, coordinate repairs and warranty service as needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and tutorials for Tech Hub equipment.
• Support content storage, file management, and backup workflows, ensuring accessibility standards.
• Provide remote and desk-side support for AU desktops, laptops, and classroom technology.
• Implement patches per security policies and assist with imaging and onboarding of devices.
• Serve as a role model and adapt to shifts to meet staffing needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
