Job summary

Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) is seeking an Associate/VP to join the Growth & Innovation team. You will work directly with senior investors and decision-makers, evaluating investment opportunities, conducting sector analysis, and building financial projections and valuations.

You will collaborate across the Integrated Firm, leveraging MSIM’s capabilities across Investment Management, Institutional Securities, and Wealth Management to deploy capital into growth-stage technology

Qualifications

2-3+ years’ previous experience in growth equity, venture capital, private equity or investment banking.
Experience: technology coverage or technology experience preferred
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ability to learn quickly and interact well with others across the Firm in Wealth Management and Investment Banking & Capital Markets
Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a team player attitude
Superior level of attention to detail
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines

Responsibilities

Conduct research on macro themes, investment ideas, and target assets
Build financial models for company projections and transaction scenarios
Produce investment memoranda and support materials on investment opportunities
Coordinate with advisors and consultants on due diligence items
Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and interface with management teams
