Howard University, in collaboration with the School of Law and generously funded by Microsoft, invites a Tech Fellow to spend the 2026-2027 academic year in residence conducting research at the intersection of technology and racial equity.

The fellow will investigate the use of artificial intelligence to identify online abuse, deliver guest lectures, provide career guidance to students, and organize talks; supervision of up to two Law students is possible with donor funds.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting academic or policy-focused research.
• Ability to present complex topics to varied audiences.
• Experience mentoring or advising students or junior researchers.

Responsabilités

• Conduct research at the intersection of technology and racial equity.
• Deliver guest lectures in classes and public forums.
• Provide career counseling to students and participants.
• Organize sport and social justice talks each semester.
• Supervise up to two Howard University School of Law students as research assistants (funded).
