Job summary

The Facilities & IT Operations Manager role at Haskel Thompson & Associates, LLC - Executive Recruiters is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting technology infrastructure, facility maintenance, and capital projects across a portfolio of self-storage facilities and truck stop locations.

This position serves as the primary liaison between operations, vendors, and management to ensure locations remain safe, operational, and technologically current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in relevant roles.
• Proven leadership with technology and maintenance technicians.
• Strong background in IT support, maintenance, property services, or similar environment.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teams and clients.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee IT systems across all locations.
• Support POS systems, management software, access control, surveillance, networking, and VoIP.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs with staff and vendors.
• Assist with new technology projects and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain technology inventory and software licensing.
• Coordinate cybersecurity best practices and system backups.
• Document IT procedures and maintain network diagrams and records.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee facility improvement projects from conception through completion.
• Manage vendor bidding, scheduling, budgeting, and timelines.
• Ensure projects meet time, budget, and quality standards.
• Coordinate remodels and capital improvements.
• Provide regular project status reports to executive management.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues affecting operations.
• Coordinate after-hours repairs with contractors and internal personnel.
• Train employees on new equipment and technology.
• Promote safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
