Job summary

Citi's Equity Research team is seeking an Associate with a foundational background in finance and a strong interest in investing. This role targets early-career professionals with roughly 1–2 years of experience who want to build a long-term equity research career, learning directly from senior analysts.

You’ll develop company expertise, financial modeling, and investment insights while covering dynamic technology subsectors. Prior tech coverage is not required.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in Equity Research or related financial markets.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance.
• Experience building financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, comps).
• SIE and Series licenses eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support senior analysts in researching companies across Technology & Communications.
• Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and earnings forecasts.
• Analyze company financials, industry trends, and market developments.
• Assist with writing research reports and investment recommendations.
• Participate in earnings calls, meetings, and investor events.
• Monitor news and results to identify investment opportunities and risks.
• Prepare presentation materials for client discussions.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to deepen sector expertise.
