Job summary

HSP Direct LLC in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. You will support billing, reconciliations, accounts payable, month-end close, reporting, and other day-to-day financial operations.

This role works closely with the Controller and finance team to maintain accurate records, resolve accounting questions, improve processes, and enable timely financial reporting for a fast-moving corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and core accounting processes.
• Experience with billing, accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, or reporting.
• Strong Excel, organization, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer billing and complete monthly billing reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable paperwork, deposits, and related documentation.
• Prepare schedules, sales reports, reconciliations, and supporting docs.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reporting.
• Research discrepancies, resolve issues, and communicate with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
• Support process improvements, automation opportunities, and other accounting projects.
