Madison Davis is a specialized staffing and recruiting firm with a strong presence across Financial Services, Banking, FinTech and Technology. As our Technology practice continues to grow, we are looking for a hands-on Delivery Director who can lead the recruiting team while remaining close enough to the work to understand where deals are moving, where support is needed and how to improve delivery.
This is a player-coach position for someone who enjoys developing recruiters but does not want to become completely removed from recruiting. The Delivery Director will spend approximately 30% of their time personally recruiting on priority searches and the remainder leading the team, assigning requisitions, managing delivery, coaching junior recruiters and partnering with sales leadership to ensure we are properly supporting client demand. This person will play an important role in creating structure, improving execution and helping build the next generation of high-performing Technology recruiters at Madison Davis.
Lead the day-to-day performance and development of the Technology recruiting team
Assign requisitions based on recruiter experience, capacity, specialization and urgency
Personally recruit on approximately 30% of the desk's highest-priority or most difficult searches
Coach junior recruiters on sourcing, candidate qualification, closing and overall desk management
Review candidate submissions and ensure quality remains consistently high
Partner closely with sales and account management to understand priorities, client expectations and upcoming demand
Monitor recruiter activity, pipeline health, interviews, placements and contractor starts
Help remove obstacles when searches stall or additional recruiting support is needed
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, team meetings and performance reviews
Improve recruiting processes, communication and accountability across the team
Assist with hiring, onboarding and training new recruiters as the Technology practice grows
Create a strong team environment where recruiters collaborate instead of guarding candidates and requisitions like medieval property
At least 7 years of staffing agency experience, with a strong focus on Technology recruiting
Previous experience managing, mentoring or formally leading recruiters
Strong understanding of contract staffing, with permanent placement experience also valuable
Demonstrated success recruiting across areas such as Software Engineering, Data, AI, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Infrastructure or related Technology functions
Ability to manage multiple active requisitions while keeping the team organized and focused
Strong judgment when assigning searches and determining where recruiting resources should be placed
Comfortable holding people accountable while remaining actively involved in their development
Strong communication skills and the credibility to partner with senior sales leaders and clients
Willingness to work from our New York City office Monday through Thursday
This is not a manager position built around spreadsheets, meetings and asking recruiters why numbers are down after ignoring them for three weeks. The Delivery Director will have real involvement in the work, direct access to leadership and the opportunity to shape how the Technology recruiting team operates and grows. For someone who can improve delivery, develop junior talent and still produce when needed, there is a clear path toward broader leadership within the Technology practice.
