Qualifications

• AOS: philosophy of computing and/or AI ethics and/or philosophy of technology and/or data science and/or data ethics
• AOC: Logic and/or formal epistemology
• We seek candidates with potential for high-quality scholarship and a commitment to excellent teaching in a liberal arts setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach a mixture of introductory- and advanced-level courses that should appeal to philosophy majors who are interested in technology, computer science or data science as well as students in other majors who are interested in philosophical approaches to these topics.
• Contribute to the department through research, service, and ongoing scholarly activity.
• Maintains a teaching load of five courses per year on a trimester calendar (Fall, Winter, and Spring 10-week terms) with four courses in the first year of employment.
