General Dynamics IT seeks a Tech Control Facility Technician II to support AFCENT under the CTSS-series contract. The role focuses on hands-on installations, repair, and troubleshooting of communications systems with independent judgment.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of experience, SECRET clearance, and DoW 8570.01-M certification (or SPIN-C) with Security+ and CCNA (Routing & Switching). Onsite location with limited travel and strong growth opportunities.

HOW A Tech Control Facility Technician II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.
• Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
• May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
• Provides advice and a range of onsite training for customer support personnel.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Required Technical Skills: Intermediate \"hands on\" work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
• Security Clearance Level: SECRET
• Required Skills and Abilities: Must meet the certification requirement of DoW 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in SPIN-C or individual task order. The contractor is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificate:
  • Security+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing & Switching or Service Provider
• Preferred Skills:

Tech Control Facility Technician II

Must meet the certification requirement of DoW 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in SPIN-C or individual task order.The contractor is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificate:

• Security+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching or Service Provider

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Intermediate \"hands on\" work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

• Intermediate experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Tech Control Facility equipment as specified in the task order to include the following:
• NET Promina equipment
• KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries
• CISCO Routers/Switches
• Patch panels/maintenance panels
• Fiber optic modems and interface cards

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.49 - $45.31. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
