Job summary

General Dynamics IT seeks a Tech Control Facility Technician III to support AFCENT. You will help install, maintain, and repair communications equipment, and exercise independent judgment to solve complex problems in field environments.

The role includes potential leadership, on-site training for personnel, and work in overseas military facilities. Requires 5+ years of related experience, Associates degrees, Security+ and CCNA certifications, SECRET clearance, and US citizenship.

• Work in an overseas location supporting military facilities
• Provides advice and a variety of onsite training for customer support personnel.
• Troubleshoots a variety of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.

HOW A FIELD TECHNICIAN IV WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Security+; CCNA (Routing and Switching or Service Provider)
• Security Clearance Level: SECRET
• Required Skills and Abilities: Lead level experience in maintenance/troubleshooting to include the following:
  • NET Promina equipment
  • KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries
  • CISCO Routers/Switches
  • Patch panels/maintenance panels
  • Fiber optic modems and interface cards
• Location: On Customer Site
• US Citizenship Required: CLEARANCE

CERTIFICATIONS:

Must meet the certification requirement of DoW 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in SPIN-C or individual task order. The contractor is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificate:

• Security+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching or Service Provider

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Lead level "hands on" work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment. Experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Personnel in this labor category are considered experts in the field. Lead level experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Tech Control Facility equipment as specified in the task order to include the following:

• NET Promina equipment
• KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries
• CISCO Routers/Switches
• Patch panels/maintenance panels
• Fiber optic modems and interface cards

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.97 - $0.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
