Job summary

Truist is seeking a Legal Department professional to support senior attorneys, acting as a trusted advisor on technology contracting, data privacy, cybersecurity, and third‑party risk.

You will draft and negotiate a range of tech agreements, develop templates, and assist in complex negotiations while working cross‑functionally with Technology, Data & Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and issue spotting skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication for non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize matters and manage time effectively.
• Comfort working with heavy workloads and meeting deadlines.
• Team-oriented mentality with good interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office).
• Ability to collaborate with Technology Data, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate AI, software licenses, SaaS, cloud, and data‑related agreements.
• Develop, maintain contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
• Support vendor management and contract lifecycle processes.
• Provide practical legal advice and support to internal clients.
• Assess legal risk on routine matters and assist with complex issues.
• Stay current on laws affecting technology, privacy, cyber security, and IP.
