Job summary

Wabash Valley Power Alliance is offering a Technology & Compliance Internship for Summer 2027 in Indianapolis, IN. The internship targets students pursuing IT-related degrees and provides hands-on experience across security, networking, infrastructure, compliance, and business applications.

Interns will assist with troubleshooting, governance, and project work, gaining mentorship while contributing to real-world technology initiatives for WVPA and its member cooperatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or Data Analytics.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a desire to learn.
• Basic understanding of technical systems, hardware, software, and technology concepts.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Technology & Compliance team with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and support of systems and equipment.
• Help with governance, risk, and compliance activities, including documentation, assessments, and program support.
• Participate in the installation, testing, and maintenance of technical systems, hardware and AI solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze data and develop solutions for technical challenges.
• Document processes, procedures, and solutions to ensure accurate reporting and tracking.
• Work on special projects that align with your interests and departmental needs.
• Provide general technical support to internal teams as needed.
