Wabash Valley Power Alliance offers a paid Summer 2027 Power Supply & Energy Services Internship in Indianapolis, IN. Interns will work with industry professionals on wholesale electricity markets, resource planning, energy procurement, and portfolio optimization.

The role provides mentorship, exposure to renewable generation and market dynamics, and opportunities to build reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Rising sophomore, junior, or senior or graduate student as of Summer 2027.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze power market data from MISO, PJM, and other sources.
• Support capacity planning and resource adequacy assessments.
• Monitor generation fleet performance and metrics.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
• Assist with forecasting and portfolio optimization projects.
• Review market settlements, auction results, and capacity metrics.
