Job summary

MFS is seeking an Enterprise Risk Officer to lead the Tech/AI risk program, advancing risk framework for technology and artificial intelligence across the firm. You will partner with the AI Governance Group and ensure risk governance aligns with regulatory expectations.

You will assess risks across AI, ML, automation and analytics, develop practical mitigation plans, and engage senior stakeholders to strengthen operational resilience and risk culture at MFS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8-12+ years of risk experience in enterprise, operational, technology, or IT risk.
• Knowledge of AI governance, AI risk management, ML, and emerging tech risk.
• Experience with global tech regulations (DORA, UK Operational Resilience).
• Ability to translate AI/tech risks into business, control and governance terms.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of Tech and AI Risk program.
• Partner with AI Governance Group to operationalize governance framework.
• Support intake, review, approval, and monitoring of AI tools/use cases.
• Conduct risk assessments for AI, ML, automation, and analytics.
• Assess risks related to transparency, privacy, security, and third-party dependency.
• Develop mitigation recommendations and escalate significant risks.
• Coordinate with IT, InfoSec, Data Governance for risk oversight.
• Facilitate risk culture training and stakeholder engagement.
