Job summary

Tyson Foods in Nashville, AR is seeking a Tech Advisor Broiler I to provide technical assistance to poultry producers caring for company-owned birds and to help maximize flock performance. You will advise on building and equipment specs, litter management, health monitoring, and coordinate with hatchery, feed mill, live haul and contract growers, while traveling to farms as needed.

The role requires collaboration with QA, safety and compliance, and adherence to USDA regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience.
  • Elementary computer skills such as checking email, data entry, or creating simple templates.

Responsibilities

  • Advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter management, and farm sanitation practices.
  • Conducting routine farm visits and documenting bird comfort, flock management, and equipment settings.
  • Monitoring bird health and recommending corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Tracking feed consumption and coordinating feed orders as needed.
  • Collecting blood and fat samples on schedule when required.
  • Coordinating chick placements and assisting with catch schedules.
  • Ensuring effective communication between hatchery, feed mill, live haul, and contract growers.
  • Supporting compliance with production contracts to help achieve the highest flock quality at the lowest possible cost.
