Tech. Accounting Sr. Manager

Base Pay Range

$150,000.00/yr – $175,000.00/yr

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Technical Accounting Senior Manager prepares accounting memos on complex transactions, oversees new accounting pronouncements, presents prescribed accounting treatments to management and external auditors, creates and maintains global accounting policies, and reviews non‑standard contracts. The ideal candidate is a CPA with at least 6 years of experience, including 3 years in public accounting, and has a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP financial reporting requirements, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including revenue recognition, discontinued operations, debt modifications, stock compensation, mergers and acquisitions, and other significant or unusual transactions
  • Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos and documentation to support accounting conclusions
  • Create, document, and implement accounting policies for the global accounting organization
  • Consult with product, legal, sales, and other teams over revenue treatment for new or non‑standard agreements
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions including due diligence, purchase price accounting, and integration
  • Act as a subject matter expert in accounting policy and procedures, ensuring compliance across the organization, including consolidated subsidiaries
  • Draft the preparation and filing of financial statement footnotes
  • Implement formal monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of U.S. GAAP financials, ensuring compliance with requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate recognition of complex accounting matters
  • Monitor and assess new accounting standards and implement changes as required
Education and Experience Requirements
  • 6–10 years of progressive public accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and an active CPA license
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP requirements, with comprehensive experience with revenue recognition, lease and credit loss accounting concepts and guidance
  • Demonstrated ability to perform independent accounting research and frame and document accounting issues with related conclusions
  • Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and accountability
  • Deadline-focused, understanding how details impact overall reporting
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Hands‑on style, customer‑service mindset, and ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast‑moving company with a wide variety of strategic initiatives
