Job summary

The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. in Cambridge, MA is seeking detail-oriented Technicians to join our electronics assembly team.

Job Description Summary: We're looking for detailed and experienced Technicians to join our electronics assembly team, supporting the building of advanced hardware in cleanroom/lab environment. Our Technicians work with engineers, building the kind of hardware that makes a difference. From hand soldering components to wire bonding in semiconductor assemblies, you'll bring big ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble electronics for semiconductor systems, CCA and wire cabling/harnessing
• Perform hand soldering, wire bonding, and other work in cleanroom/lab environment
• Operate tools and equipment including basic maintenance and calibration

Duties / Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning, maintenance, and or calibration of laboratory and equipment with limited supervision.
• Operates complex equipment in the production of hardware using complex manual skills with training and limited supervision.
• Documents their work consistent with work unit policy with limited supervision.
• Performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions at the discretion of the supervisor.
• Other temporary assignments at the discretion of the supervisor.

Skill / Abilities

• Able to communicate written and verbally.
• Able to use Microsoft office applications.
• Able to perform manual labor and operate automated and semi-automated equipment.

Education

Graduate from a 2 year technical school or applicable years of experience.

Experience

Either two years of applicable technical education and two years of applicable experience or four years of applicable experience meets the minimum requirement.

Salary

• US base salary range for this full-time position is $43.73 - $43.73

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
