You’ll also enjoy a generous paid time off package that includes not only vacation and sick time, but also Wellness and Volunteer Time Off days.</p> <p>Working under direct supervision of the Supervisor, selecting from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities, the Technician 1, Refurbishment is responsible for ensuring defective computer products are repaired and refurbished with high quality, while meeting customer, manufacturer and industry standards.</p> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Perform low- to medium-level complexity testing, troubleshooting and repairing of defective computer systems.</li> <li>Ensures contents and specs of refurbished and repaired items are validated for completeness and high quality of work.</li> <li>Ensures refurbished and repaired items meet customer, manufacturer and industry standards upon completion.</li> <li>Receives returned inventory into the Refurbishment Lab and assists with location management (put-away) and auditing of Refurbished items in warehouse locations.</li> <li>Attains required certifications (CompTIA A+ and manufacturers certifications).</li> <li>Ensures all assigned training courses are completed in a timely fashion.</li> <li>Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.</li> </ul> <h3>Requirements</h3> <ul> <li>Operating knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux and Apple operating systems.</li> <li>Technology certifications with the ability to obtain CompTIA A+ certification within 6 months of the hire date.</li> <li>Technical aptitude with ability to absorb and apply newly learned technical skills.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of, and the ability to identify components and software used in computers.</li> <li>Attention to details in testing and refurbishing products.</li> <li>Some hands-on experience with repair or configuration of computer systems.</li> <li>Technology reading comprehension with ability to read basic work instruction documents or schematics.</li> <li>Technology troubleshooting and mechanical skills.</li> <li>Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.</li> <li>Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Detail oriented with item-by-item focus, meticulous attention to detail with ability to proofread for accuracy.</li> <li>Good listening skills with ability to receive information completely and understand what is being said.</li> <li>Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Judgment with ability to formulate opinions, compare and decide with good sense.</li> <li>Organized state of mind with ability to document activities, set priorities and meet deadlines.</li> <li>Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment.</li> </ul>
