Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in North Carolina is seeking a Technician 1, Maintenance to support maintenance of bioprocess equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with repairs, keep detailed records, and follow GMP/SOP guidelines.

This role requires the ability to work a night shift (6 PM–6:30 AM) and participate in 24/7 operations, with safety as a priority and a willingness to learn new systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on process equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, and autoclaves.
• Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and repair of equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure SOPs and GMP compliance.
• Support 24/7 manufacturing operations, including night shifts and on-call duties.

Position Overview

The Technician 1, Maintenance is responsible for assisting installation, maintenance, and repair of process related systems/equipment. Ensure these systems meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Also responsible for conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on process related equipment to ensure equipment is operating efficiently with minimal downtime.

Night Shift- 6PM to 6:30AM - 2.2.3 shift

What You’ll Do

• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on process equipment, such as bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, parts washers,autoclaves, isolators, and fillers
• Assists senior technicians in troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) qualitystandards
• Adheres to all safety requirements and follows safe work practices
• Notifies management or Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found
• Attends all required safety and health training
• Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed
• Assists with spare parts assessments, as required
• Performs other duties, as assigned
