New ideas are all around us, but only a few will change the world. That’s our focus at JPL. We ask the biggest questions, then search the universe for answers—literally. We build upon ideas that have guided generations, then share our discoveries to inspire generations to come. Your mission—your opportunity is to seek out the answers that bring us one step closer. If you’re driven to discover, create, and inspire something that lasts a lifetime and beyond, you’re ready for JPL. Located in Pasadena, California, JPL has a campus-like environment situated on 177 acres in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and offers a work environment unlike any other: we inspire passion, foster innovation, build collaboration, and reward excellence. We are seeking an experienced Siemens Teamcenter Developer to lead the design, development, customization, and integration of advanced PLM solutions. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on expertise with Teamcenter architecture, configuration, and extensions, and can partner closely with engineering, IT, and program teams to deliver robust, scalable PLM capabilities supporting mission-critical work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead development, configuration, and customization activities within Teamcenter (UA, RAC, Active Workspace).
  • Design, implement, and maintain Teamcenter extensions, including server-side customizations, workflows, BMIDE configurations, and client-side enhancements.
  • Integrate Teamcenter with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, CAD, and identity management tools.
  • Troubleshoot complex PLM issues and drive root-cause analysis and long-term solution design.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to define PLM requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support Teamcenter upgrades, migrations, data model changes, and performance improvements.
  • Develop documentation, technical specifications, and test plans for delivered features.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to PLM architecture strategy and roadmaps.
Required Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field with 9 years of hands‑on experience developing and customizing Teamcenter; or a master’s degree with 7 years of related experience.
  • Strong command of Teamcenter modules, data modeling, workflows, BMIDE, ITK, SOA, and REST APIs.
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, and associated development tooling.
  • Experience with Active Workspace configuration and customization.
  • Demonstrated expertise integrating Teamcenter with enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, CAD tools).
  • Solid understanding of PLM processes including configuration management, change management, MBSE, and digital thread concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with CAD integrations (NX, SolidWorks, Altium).
  • Experience with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, containerization, and modern deployment methods.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices within enterprise applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and drive technical decision‑making.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven leadership in technical mentorship and solution ownership.
