Job summary

Atrium in New York seeks a Team Operations Lead - Interior Design to drive planning, design and furnishing of interior spaces on a 2 days onsite / 3 days remote hybrid schedule. You will support the team’s operations and help deliver client-focused environments.

The role emphasizes identifying process gaps, leading the Project Administration team and ensuring timely, accurate project delivery; interior design experience is a plus. Strong leadership and CAP 20/20 expertise are required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address process gaps, inconsistencies and operational risks that could impact project success.
• Provide leadership, guidance and day-to-day support to Project Administration team members.
• Monitor workloads, deadlines, work quality and adherence to established processes and procedures.
• Support team development through onboarding, training, coaching, and knowledge gap identification.
• Serve as a primary resource for system training, updates, troubleshooting and process questions.
• Partner with leadership to review team performance, workloads, challenges and escalation items.
• Escalate recurring issues, performance concerns and critical project risks as appropriate.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review priorities, tasks, timelines and project status.
• Review team deliverables for accuracy, compliance and alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to track milestones and deliverables.
• Review project reporting for data accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, schedule delays and other operational concerns.
• Manage approval workflows and support decision-making related to projects and operations.
• Investigate, resolve and approve cost discrepancies, change orders and vendor issues.

Position Overview

The Team Operations Lead - Interior Design, on a hybrid basis (2 days onsite, 3 days remote), will contribute to planning, designing, and furnishing interior spaces. They will support the team in creating practical, aesthetic environments that meet client needs. Interior design experience is a plus.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and day-to-day support to Project Administration team members.

Required Experience/Skills for the Team Operations Lead - Interior Design

• 5 - 7+ years of experience in operations, project administration, or related business functions, including team leadership.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of pricing, profitability, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have some type of lead or mentor background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems, and quick to learn new technologies.
• Experience with CAP 20/20 is mandatory.
• Experience in training, coaching, and developing team members.
• Interest in leveraging technology and AI to improve processes.
• Self-motivated, dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Team Operations Lead - Interior Design

• Prior exposure to interior design projects.
• Experience with AI tools is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with sustainable and environmentally friendly materials.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of health and safety codes.
• Interior design experience is a plus.

Education Requirements
