Job summary

America's Thrift Stores in Tuscaloosa, AL, is seeking a Processing Team Member to sort donated items and identify great finds while preparing merchandise for the sales floor. You will help identify recyclable items and work with a diverse team to deliver value for donors and customers.

You will load and unload carts, contribute to a clean and organized workspace, and participate in a fast-paced environment that supports our mission to reduce waste and support local charities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Sorting donated items and identifying great finds.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of coworkers.
• Willingness to help identify recyclable items and keep materials out of landfills.

What Does a Processing Team Member Do Anyway?

• Sort donated items and identify great finds
• Help identify recyclable items. Even if we can't sell it, we keep it out of the landfill
• Get those great finds sales floor ready
• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently

Whether we are hanging the perfect jeans (thrifting one pairof jeans saves the world 1,800 gallons of water ya know!) or separating out recyclable materials, we combine our passion for customers and community service.
