Description
Position Summary

The Senior Team Member Engagement Coordinator (Senior TEC) independently leads the analysis, design, administration, and continuous improvement of assigned workforce engagement programs, communication practices, and Operations follow-up controls across one or more sites or complex operational populations. The role evaluates material engagement trends and risks, compares operational responses, develops recommendations for senior Operations leadership, and leads approved initiatives through cross-functional partners.
The primary duties of this role consist of engagement analysis, program design and planning, communication planning, process improvement, controls, cross-functional governance, and management recommendations. Routine distribution, recordkeeping, tracker maintenance, calendars, event logistics, and similar support are secondary and must not exceed 10% of total work time.
Working under general direction, the Senior Coordinator exercises discretion and independent judgment across a broader or more complex assigned scope within approved objectives, budgets, policies, and functional boundaries. Within documented delegated limits, the Senior Coordinator may design and select engagement methods, establish work sequencing and timing, modify nonmaterial project details, resolve complex program issues, allocate approved resources within established line items, evaluate alternative responses, and recommend management action. Operations retains final authority for material business decisions.

Requirements
Engagement Analysis and Management Recommendations - 25%
  • Select and adapt appropriate methods, including floor presence and listening sessions, to collect and evaluate nonconfidential engagement information across shifts, departments, or assigned sites
  • Lead the planning and evaluation of assigned recognition, appreciation, listening, and engagement initiatives within approved objectives
  • Distinguish isolated requests from systemic trends across complex operational populations and compare possible responses based on impact, urgency, feasibility, cost, and functional risk
  • Analyze consistency of engagement routines across shifts, departments, or assigned sites and design or recommend process improvements
  • Independently develop and present operational engagement recommendations to senior Operations leadership while immediately routing individual employee matters to the appropriate functional owner
Communication Planning and Change Support - 15%
  • Develop and lead engagement communication and change plans addressing audience, channel, sequencing, timing, risk, approval needs, and measures of understanding
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate approved communications and maintain essential workforce communication materials
  • Assess material communication gaps and recommend changes or standards to improve reach, clarity, consistency, and leadership credibility across the assigned scope
  • Collect frequently asked questions, identify recurring themes, and coordinate validated responses from the appropriate functional owner
Operations Follow-Up Controls and Reporting - 15%
  • Design, administer, and improve the Operations follow-up control confirming Supervisor and Manager review of required attendance and safety reports across the assigned scope
  • Monitor completion of leadership follow-up actions and escape outstanding items
  • Analyze recurring completion gaps across shifts, departments, or assigned sites; identify likely process causes; and recommend control or cadence improvements to senior Operations leadership
  • Track completion only; does not calculate points or participate in corrective action
Program Planning and Continuous Improvement - 25%
  • Translate approved site or cross-site priorities into program frameworks, objectives, project plans, milestones, success measures, stakeholder requirements, governance routines, and evaluation methods
  • Prepare leadership-ready analyses identifying material trends, risks, options, resource implications, recommended actions, accountable owners, and open decisions
  • Evaluate program results across the assigned scope and recommend whether initiatives should continue, be adjusted, expanded, standardized, or discontinued
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions, surface tradeoffs, secure commitments, and guide approved execution without direct supervisory authority
Workforce Integration and Retention Analysis - 10%
  • Set standards and lead planning for the post-onboarding site-integration experience after HR/TA onboarding, including 30/60/90-day engagement check-ins and supervisor follow-through
  • Analyze post-onboarding and material retention themes across the assigned scope and recommend targeted operational interventions
  • Lead evaluation of non-HR associate suggestions for feasibility and impact and recommend priorities and owners to Operations
Tactical Coordination and Administration - 10% Maximum
  • Coordinate tactical execution through site partners; directly handle teamwear distribution or other material logistics only when separately assigned and within the stated tactical-work limit
  • Maintain accurate records for engagement activities and participation
  • Assist with coordination of engagement calendars and events
Escalation and Governance
  • Escalate employee relations concerns, complaints, and conduct issues immediately
  • Route policy, payroll, benefits, leave, and accommodation questions to HR or appropriate functional owners
  • Escalate safety concerns and workers’ compensation questions to EHS and Operations leadership
  • Maintain adherence to defined role scope and escalation processes
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational leadership, communications, operations, human resources, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in operations programs, workforce engagement, employee experience, communications, analytics, change management, or a related field
  • Strong written communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
  • Advanced analytical judgment, program design and planning, process improvement, outcome measurement, and follow-up capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret ambiguous qualitative and quantitative information, compare alternatives, develop reasoned recommendations for senior leaders, manage approved resources, and influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Ability to
  • maintain confidentiality, recognize functional boundaries, and make sound escalation judgments
