Team Manager Client Accounting Advisory Services

Overview

The Team Manager, CAAS will lead and manage the CAAS team, ensuring service delivery, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Responsibilities include overseeing strategy, revenue, budget, and cross-functional collaboration, while maintaining team satisfaction and productivity.

The role involves driving profitability, utilization, upskilling, and alignment with business goals. You will serve as the first point of contact for staff concerns and work proactively to enhance engagement and growth. Some billable client work and direct client interactions are expected to contribute to revenue growth.

This position reports to the Division Manager, CAAS, is fully remote, and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
  • Global Leadership & Support: Support teams across time zones, ensure operational continuity, participate in industry events, and expand services.
  • Operational Oversight: Maintain systems, improve processes, ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and oversee billing and client relationships.
  • People & Productivity: Lead, mentor, and develop the team, manage performance, and address employee concerns.
  • Performance Metrics: Review reports, track KPIs, and ensure targets are met.
  • Training & Development: Implement training programs, create development plans, and monitor skill enhancement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with departments to streamline services and support business growth.
  • Client Retention & Support: Support client relationships, address disputes, and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Innovation & Change: Foster innovation, lead organizational changes, and adopt new technologies.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Inspire and develop the team, promote best practices, and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in leadership within CAAS or related services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience (17+ years).
  • Expertise in CAAS systems, compliance, and specific experience with Intacct and QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience managing multi-client, multi-time zone teams, and developing training programs.
Preferred Experience
  • Operational efficiency, process improvements, and cost savings.
  • Remote global team management, knowledge of employment laws, and payroll compliance.
  • Experience with automation, payroll technology, and client retention strategies.

Work is flexible, full-time, and may require travel. Must be able to work extended hours at a computer and communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
