Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Full-time Team Leader Ultrasound - RDMS at Franklin Square Medical Center in Maryland. Hours are 36 per week, with 4 - 9 hour shifts. The role supervises daily Ultrasound Imaging Department activities and performs diagnostic procedures within the credentialed modality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years’ technologist experience within assigned/credentialed modality.
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB certification as applicable.
• Licensed in Maryland for the modality.

Responsibilities

• Acquires ordered images and evaluates technical quality.
• Coordinates daily activities of staff to match workload.
• Maintains orderly, clean work areas and ensures safety and QC.
• Obtains patient history, answers questions, and explains procedures.
• Completes clerical tasks and manages supply orders to keep materials on hand.

MedStar Health is looking for a Full-time Team Leader Ultrasound - RDMS to join our team at Franklin Square Medical Center! Hours are 36 hours a week; 4 - 9 hour shifts.

As a Team Leader Imaging, you will help supervise and direct the daily activities for the Ultrasound Imaging Department. Performs diagnostic procedures within assigned/credentialed modality.

Primary Duties

• Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation. Coordinates the daily activities of staff consistent with workload requirements and available personnel.


• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains diagnostic and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs regularly scheduled quality control.

• Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.


• Prepares documentation as required by the profession and the department. Completes necessary clerical and computer tasks as required. Requests and orders supply as necessary to always keep materials on hand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED


• 2 years’ technologist experience within assigned/credentialed modality.


• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.


• As applicable to modality: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology), ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers), or Nuclear Medicine Tech NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board).


• Licensed in the State of Maryland as required for modality.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $42.82 - USD $78.27 /Hr.
