MedStar Health is seeking a Full-time Team Leader Ultrasound - RDMS for Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore. The role supports supervision of the Ultrasound Imaging Department, with 36 hours per week across four 9-hour shifts.

A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for a limited time. The incumbent will supervise daily activities, perform diagnostic procedures within credentialed modality, and ensure quality control of equipment and images.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years technologist experience in assigned modality.
• 2 years experience in diagnostic radiology.
• ARRT/ARDMS or NMTCB certification required.
• Maryland state license required for modality.

Responsibilities

• Acquire ordered ultrasound images and assess technical quality.
• Coordinate daily staff workload and destinations for interpretation.
• Maintain clean work areas and equipment; perform QC.
• Obtain patient history and explain procedures.
• Prepare documentation and handle supply orders.

Education

As a Team Leader Imaging, you will help supervise and direct the daily activities for the Ultrasound Imaging Department. Performs diagnostic procedures within assigned/credentialed modality.

Primary Duties

• Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation. Coordinates the daily activities of staff consistent with workload requirements and available personnel.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains diagnostic and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs regularly scheduled quality control.

• Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.
• Prepares documentation as required by the profession and the department. Completes necessary clerical and computer tasks as required. Requests and orders supply as necessary to always keep materials on hand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years' technologist experience within assigned/credentialed modality.
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• As applicable to modality: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology), ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers), or Nuclear Medicine Tech NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board).
• Licensed in the State of Maryland as required for modality.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $42.82 - USD $78.27 /Hr.
